Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Kalor mobile application (the “App”) and related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by The Kalor Company, based in Lisbon, Portugal (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By creating an account, accessing, or using Kalor, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
• By using Kalor, you confirm you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

2. Account Registration

• You must create an account to request access to events and purchase tickets.
• You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information (name, username, email, and optionally phone number).
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

3. Use of the Service

The App enables you to:

• View upcoming events
• Request access to guestlists
• Purchase event tickets (if accepted)
• Use QR codes for entry and consumable redemption

Tickets are only accessible after guest list approval by the event host.

4. Payment and Refunds

• All ticket payments are processed through Stripe. 
• You will only be charged once accepted to an event’s guest list.
• Refunds are available only if you have not breached any rules set by event organizers. We reserve the right to deny refund requests where breaches are evident.
• Stripe may take several days to process approved refunds. We are not responsible for bank delays.

5. QR Codes and Extras

• Each ticket includes a QR code used for event entry and consumables redemptions.
• QR codes are personal and non-transferable.
• Lost or misused QR codes will not be reissued or refunded.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not:

• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the App
• Transfer or resell tickets outside the App
• Interfere with other users or system security

7. Intellectual Property

• All app content, branding, and code is owned by The Kalor Company, Lda.
• Users may not copy, distribute, or reuse any part of the App or its materials without written permission.

8. Privacy

• We collect your name, username, email, phone number (optional), and birthday. 
• Data is stored and managed via Firebase and shared only with Stripe for payment processing.
• You may delete your account at any time via the app or by contacting help@kalor.app.

9. Feature Changes & Service Modifications

• Kalor is in early-stage testing and subject to frequent updates.
• We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove features at any time without notice.
• We may suspend or discontinue the Service at any time.

10. Liability Waiver

By attending Kalor-hosted events, you acknowledge:

• You assume all risks associated with physical attendance, including but not limited to injury, intoxication, or third-party misconduct.
• You release The Kalor Company, Lda and its affiliates from all liability for personal injury, property damage, or losses arising from event participation, except where prohibited by law.

11. Termination

We may suspend or delete your account without notice if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Misuse tickets or QR codes
• Breach event host rules

You may delete your account at any time.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal.

All disputes shall be resolved under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lisbon, Portugal.

13. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

You agree to resolve any disputes arising under these Terms through binding arbitration, waiving any right to class actions or jury trials, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

15. Changes to Terms
