Your team runs the door with the scanner in the Kalor app. Here is how to set them up and what they will see.
Add your team
Add people to your brand from People and give each a role:
- Host: everything, including the money.
- Admin: events and people, no money.
- Manager: guest lists, invites and the door.
- Coordinator: only the events they are assigned to.
Then assign them to events as door staff or promoters. You can also add someone to the door team of every new event automatically.
On the night
Your door team opens the app, goes to Account details, then Events you work, and opens the scanner for tonight's event. They point the camera at the guest's QR code and it scans on its own.
What a scan can say
- Checked in: let them in. From here you can also hand over extras or deny entry.
- Already inside: the ticket was scanned before, with the time and who scanned it.
- Outside its window: the ticket is for a different time slot. You can still let them in.
- Refunded: the ticket was cancelled and no longer works.
- Another event: the ticket is for a different event.
- Not a Kalor ticket: the code is not one of ours.
Using the guest list
Search the guest list to check someone in by name, check them out, or open their tickets. For private events, the Requests tab is where you accept guests or give them a ticket.
Age limits
Kalor checks age against the guest's birthday before they can buy, but still check ID at the door. See Age limits.
